The Verizon IndyCar® Series returns to Sonoma Raceway, one of only three permanent road courses on the nationwide tour, for the 10th annual GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma, August 23-24.

Despite tricky twists and turns and elevation changes, drivers average well over 100 m.p.h. for each 2.38-mile lap of the 85-circuit race.

Last year, Will Power won here for the third time in four years. With only one race left in the season after Sonoma, Power is battling Helio Castroneves (Sonoma winner in 2008) for the season championship.

The IndyCar Fan Village, located in the main paddock, will host a variety of activities, including a full-field Verizon IndyCar Series autograph session on Saturday at 11:15 a.m. Sunday’s pre-race entertainment will include a 25-minute Patriot Jet Team Air Show, vintage plane flyover, driver introductions and more. Kids (12 and under) are free all weekend with the purchase of any adult ticket. General admission tickets start at just $39. 800.870.7223.
