This weekend’s Huichica Music Festival, says producer Jeff Bundschu “is an antidote to the all-you-can-eat-buffet-style mega-festival.” The fifth annual event takes place June 13-14 at the Gundlach Bundschu Winery, with a dozen-plus indie bands together in “an intimate setting with a slow-paced vibe and excellent food and libations.”
Friday night’s kick-off features special guest Alina Hardin (pictured) out of L.A.; Michael Hurley, who was a part of the Greenwich Village folk scene in the 1960s and is still going strong; and sets from Vetiver and Mount Eerie.
Saturday, June 14, features intimate acoustic sets from Hurley, Mount Eerie and others throughout the day, DJing by Golden Gram and EDJ as well performances by Meg Baird, Houndstooth, Extra Classic, The Cairo Gang, Magic Trick, Kelley Stoltz and David Longstreth of Dirty Projectors. Food purveyors include Bunk Sandwiches, Salumeria, Rancho Gordo and Q Craft. Two-day General Admission passes are $75, VIP tickets $120. Single show tickets available. Details at Gunbun.com.
