Beginning May 15, Jack London State Historic Park will be open late on the third Thursday of the month for the Sundown Music Series. Visitors to the park will enjoy free entertainment by local musicians in an outdoor picnic setting from 5 to 9 p.m.
Kicking off the series is Cynthia Carr and the Carrtunes, with three-part harmonies of songs ranging from 1940’s standards to Grateful Dead favorites.
The Jami Jamison Band plays June 19, followed by Acoustic Soul on July 17 and Hugh Shacklett and Possible Friends on August 21. The series wraps up September 18 with Tudo Bem.
The event is fee, with parking reduced to $5 per vehicle. The barbecue grill will be going with food available for purchase, or visitors can bring their own picnics.
