Quarryhill Botanical Garden, the 25-acre home to 25,000 rare and endangered plants celebrates Earth Day with a free family day on Saturday, April 26 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Activities include solar observing by the Sonoma County Astronomical Society, reptile observing from Sonoma Reptile Rescue, Fly Casting from Leland Fly Fishing Company, fire truck tours, Chinese dancing, archery for all ages and educational displays from 4-H and the Sonoma County Bee Keepers’ Association.
There will be arts & crafts, games and face painting, plus a bean planting and tea tasting.
In addition to all of the festivities, Quarryhill will hold its once-a-year-only plant sale, a an opportunity to obtain very rare plants at affordable prices.
