In the Sonoma Conservatory of Dance production of “Appalachian Cinderella,” the familiar tale is set in the Roaring ’20s and Prohibition — a time of moonshine, G-men, and dreaming of life away in the ‘Big City,’ far away from the Appalachian farm ruled by a horrid step-mother.
The show features 50 young dancers, ages 6-17 (including Olivia Cole, pictured), plus two guest performers. Saturday and Sunday, April 12 and 13, 1 p.m. $12-$22. Sebastiani Theatre, 476 First St. E. Sonomadancestudio.com. 938.1424.
