A painting by Shotsie Gorman is among those in “16 x 16 – Expressions from the Woodland Star Community,” an art exhibition at the Bump Wine Cellars February 7 through 28. For the exhibition, local artists connected with the school were given a 16” square of wood to work with; the overall result is a varied array of color, style and subject, all sharing a common form.
The show opens with a reception on Friday, February 7, at 7 p.m. The event includes hors d’oeuvres and live music performed by the trio Full Chizel. Bump Wine Cellars will donate 20 percent of all wine proceeds for the evening to the Woodland Star Educational Foundation. Each piece in the 16 x 16 collection will be available for purchase, also to benefit the school.
Guest can bid on a piece, starting at $100, or alternatively “Buy it Now” with a set price. Bidding will end on March 8 at the school’s live auction event, “Saturday Night Fever.” Bump Cellars is located at 521 Broadway in Sonoma.
