Jordy Neil is the enterprising elf in ‘The Santaland Diaries,” a live comedy written by David Sedaris. Presented by the Sonoma Valley Shakespeare Company, the modern Christmas tale plays dinner shows at Murphy’s Irish Pub [1] on Monday, December 16 and Sunday, December 22, both at 6 p.m.

Produced by Aidan O’Reilly and directed by Chad Bradford, the story follows an out-of-work New York actor who takes a gig as a Macy’s elf to make some much-needed holiday cash. Tickets are $30: $15 for the show and $15 for a multiple-course meal. 464 First St. E. Sonomapub.com.
