What’s next for Springs Community Alliance?

The public is invited to the monthly meeting of the Springs Community Alliance on Thursday, November 14, 7 p.m. at the Sonoma Valley Grange Hall.

Under discussion will be projects of interest have emerged from earlier meetings, including: building a plaza in the Springs, a central hub for the community; take actions against gang activity; conduct a multi-faceted “Clean Up the Springs” campaign; improve Larsen Park; facade improvements for businesses; and an uutreach campaign to promote awareness of existing health and wellness programs.

So what’s next? “That’s the question we’ll start trying to answer at this month’s meeting,” said Rich Lee. The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend and participate.

The Grange is located at 18627 Sonoma Hwy, just south of the Fiesta Shopping Center and across from Mary’s Pizza.

    Steve Cox, Chair of the Springs Community Alliance (SCA), kicked off the meeting by encouraging the assembled residents to think big regarding a broad spectrum of topics.The residents broke into groups and brainstormed in six areas – Community Safety, Youth and Family, Business, Community Identity, Health and Wellness, and Community Beautification.
