Assemblymember Marc Levine, whose 10th District includes Sonoma, will speak on Monday, September 23, at the Sonoma Valley Democrats’ general meeting. The public is invited to the 6:30 p.m. presentation and Q and A session.
Two bills authored by Levine were signed into law last week. AB 1136 requires a pharmacist to include a warning sticker on drugs that impair a person’s ability to drive, while AB 1352 permits state courts to destroy non-controversial records to cut down on the $21.5 million California spends annually on records retention.
“These are straightforward measures designed to enhance public safety and to increase access to courts by decreasing court costs,” Levine said. I thank Governor Brown for signing my bills into law.”
Levine’s Sonoma appearance will be held at the Seven Flags Club House, 300 International Boulevard, in the Seven Flags Mobile Home Park off Watmaugh Drive, in Sonoma.
Guests are asked to bring a potluck snack to share. For more information visit Svdemocrats.com
