(Submitted by Olivia Boles, age 12) At around 6 p.m. on April 30, a small fire occurred on a small grass field behind the Veterans Hall, causing panic. A large rising cloud of smoke was released into the air was immediately noticed by the fans and players of the AA Phillies versus Cubs game. Soon the firemen were on the scene and the fire was extinguished. Although scary, I learned a lot about fire fighters. I learned about how they turned over the soil to stop later fires and more interesting facts! They were quick getting into action and made no hesitation to head straight to the action. Thank you Sonoma valley firefighters!
