“National Geographic” photographer James Balag used an array of time-lapse cameras placed across the Arctic to document the world’s changing glaciers. The result, at once breathtaking, astonishing and disturbing, is “Chasing Ice, [1]” in which years pass in seconds and great mountains of ice crumble in moments.
