A vintage 1860’s Kenwood schoolhouse is the new home of the Muscardini Tasting Room, which celebrates its grand opening this weekend (Jan. 19-20) with food and wine pairings, art and live music from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Formerly sharing a tasting room with Ty Caton, owner and winemaker Michael and his team, Jennifer Kosko (tasting room manager), Laura Lujan (hospitality), and Alice Schimm (office manager) relocated to the Red School House at 9380 Sonoma Highway, just south of his previous room.

The building offers a large deck facing east toward the Mayacamas Mountains and picnic tables in a large back yard. will welcome friends, family and their dogs. Inside, in addition to wine tasting, local jams, salami, biscotti, breads and cheeses will be offered as well. On display will be a rotating selection of artwork with beautiful glass art by Stone Cohn and the featured artist this month, Margaret Hatcher. And the friendly Golden Retriever? That’s Beni.
