Master Gardener turns ‘Trash to Treasures’

Posted By Sun News On January 1, 2013 @ 3:00 pm In Uncategorized | Comments Disabled

Mosaics from broken tile and china, old chairs painted and planted, recycled fencing and barn wood, wine barrel hoops, lamp bases… Sandy Metzger uses all sorts of “found” items in her garden designs. The master gardener and landscape designer will discuss “Trash to Treasures Garden Art” in a January 3 presentation to the Valley of the Moon Garden Club.

Metzger finds both functional and ornamental uses for a range of repurposed items (a.k,a. “old stuff”). She will share design ideas and project photographs as part of the discussion.

The 7 p.m. talk is free and open to the public. For more information about the Valley of the Moon Garden Club contact 935.5939.
