Voices of light and life

The Bay Area children’s choir Voena, which has performed at the White House and the London Olympics, comes to Benziger Winery on Thursday, December 13 for a Holiday Cave Dinner. A fundraiser for the Sonoma Film Society, the evening includes a cocktail reception and live performance, followed by an intimate dinner served in a candlelit setting. Voena (which stands for Voices of Eve ‘N Angels) was founded 12 years ago by Benicia mother Annabelle Marie, a musician who was looking for a way to keep her three sons busy. The multiethnic group now numbers, in total, about 140 young voices, with members performing at Carnegie Hall, and in China and South America. The Sonoma event begins at 6 p.m. Tickets are $175.
