Dear Editor:
I served on the Santa Rosa City Council with both John Sawyer and Susan Gorin. Though not a resident in the 1st Supervisorial District, I care deeply about the quality of leadership throughout our county. To that end, I would like to give my opinion as to which candidate has the “right stuff” for this important leadership position.

Thirty years ago, Susan and her family relocated from Colorado to Sonoma County when HP offered her husband, Joe, a great Job. Since then, Susan has emerged as one of the County’s most experienced leaders. She has served her community well in a variety of leadership positions including Santa Rosa Mayor (susangorin.com). In these roles, Susan’s preparation and understanding of the issues has always been obvious to me (no prepared scripts!).

To sum up, I am confident that the residents of Sonoma and the 1st District will greatly benefit from Susan Gorin’s Leadership. As a County Supervisor, Susan will ensure balance between business and environmental interests. She will champion efforts to create good quality jobs and strengthen the county’s vital infrastructure. Take my word, Susan has the right stuff!
