Brian Eaton Farwell of Sonoma, age 48, passed away on May 25, 2011. Due to a serious health condition, he collapsed at his job in Santa Rosa, and died at Memorial Hospital ER.
Brian was raised in Illinois by his parents, Mary and Marvin Farwell, in Lake Bluff. He was the oldest of four children: a sister, Dawn, and two brothers, Todd and Blair Farwell. Also he is survived by his birth mother, Sharon Heneman, of Minnesota, and a former wife, Jacquelyn Wasser, and a son, Jack Farwell, age 19, of Powell, WY.
Brian lived an active life singing in church choirs and school musicals. He wrote for select newspapers, and wrote poetry as a hobby.
For many years he worked as a nurse’s aid, and had a second career in landscaping. He was trained in boxing, and was an avid reader, collecting history and biographies. He enjoyed discussion groups in Sonoma, and loved living here away from the cold winters.
There will be a memorial service for Brian Farwell at the First Congressional Church/Shir Shalom at 251 W. Spain, on Monday, June 20 at 11:00 a.m. Condolence cards may be left at the door or mailed to his beloved son, Jack, at 410 West Fourth Street, Powell, WY 82435.
