With a series of contests rained out the Sonoma Lady Dragons softball squad will look to build on back-to-back wins attained before the weather soured as they ready for SCL play.

The Lady Dragons won their last two contests, defeating San Rafael and Montgomery in succession, before the rains postponed contests scheduled for last week. The rains have shortened the pre-season slate for all SCL teams, with no team having played more than Sonoma (five games) so far.

The early SCL results show a combination of the “haves” and “have-nots,” as three of the seven teams have respectable pre-season records and four of the squads are struggling. The Lady Dragons rest in the middle of the pack with a 3-2 pre-season mark.

The Lady Dragons were slated; weather permitting, to take on Rancho Cotate yesterday at the SVHS field, with results unavailable at press time.
