The Sonoma Valley Visitor’s Bureau celebrated the holiday season with their annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon this week at Ramekins. The bureau has 32 volunteers who staff the offices on the Plaza and at Cornerstone, helping visitors find the best places in town to eat, drink and be merry. Volunteer Lois Dorsey loves helping people who come into the bureau. “We meet the nicest, most interesting people. From young backpackers to older tourists and many, many people from overseas. It’s a fun job.” According to SVVB Executive Director Wendy Peterson, the community came together to make the event a success with donated items from the Basque Boulangerie, Murphy’s Irish Pub, Mary’s Pizza, Ramekins, the Bed & Breakfast Association and more.
