The Sonoma Ecology Center will host a Permaculture Workshop at the Sonoma Garden Park on Saturday, October 2, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Participants will discover the core principles and design concepts of permaculture, and learn how to transform a yard into a garden of unimaginable abundance.
Permaculture is a design approach and practice that integrates plants, animals, microclimate, soils, water systems, structures and human needs into a diverse, interdependent, self-sustaining ecosystem. The workshop will be facilitated by Karen Boness, a landscape designer and garden consultant with Wild Willow Landscape Design.
Sonoma Garden Park is located at 19996 Seventh Street East, between MacArthur and Denmark Streets in Sonoma. This workshop is $30 for Sonoma Ecology Center members and $35 for non-members. To register or learn more, contact Elly Seelye at 996-0712 x124 or firstname.lastname@example.org. by October 1.
